"I would walk 500 miles,
And I would walk 500 more,
Just to be the man that walked a 1000 miles
To fall down at your door."
the proclaimers | i'm gonna be
Maryland is not the same as Texas.
And Florida is not the same as Virginia.
And Virginia and Texas and Florida and Maryland are really not the same.
But somehow,
a girl in Maryland,
met a guy living in Texas,
in Florida,
(even though he'd spent much of his life in Virgina. Near Maryland.)
And this particular guy (his name is Robbie),
did a little number on this girl's (her name is Kelly) heart.
(I love this series.)
ps. Don't ever hire me.
I make brides walk through mud and bridesmaids stand in the cold.
Spare yourself.
Through mutual friends,
texting,
butterflies,
counsel
and more texting,
Kelly and Robbie started dating very shortly after they met.
The distance made things... special.
Satellites in the sky,
as well as airplanes in the sky,
kept their friendship growing + strong.
Praise the Lord for those things!
Yes, they had exhausting whirlwind weekends of
meeting family,
having long talks,
little sleep and
falling in love,
but they were willing to do whatever they needed to do.
Within months, Kelly and Robbie were engaged.
The were going to finally live together.
No "once or twice every month quick cram everything in!"
No more "good-night texts" after a night of being on the phone.
They'd be in person!
Together!
In the same state!
Because they were engaged. To be married.
And it's just best if married people are together.
In the same state.
By the way,
Robbie is the sweetest, caring-est, gentle-teddy-bear-iest, kind man I've ever met.
Kelly is going to be so well cared for
(in person, for the rest of her life.)
So on a absolutely freezing day in December,
(don't be fooled by the pictures.
It.was.so.so.so.cold.)
hearts were united,
vows were made,
two became one,
and friends rejoiced!
(and complained under their breath about the photographer making them stand in the cold.
but it's okay,
I complained about myself to me, too ;)
haha just playing, you all were WONDERful.)
You can't do that v over text, now can you?
It was such a sweet delight to shoot these two.
They don't take for granted getting to be actually together.
They are loving, calm, relaxed people.
And they love each other.
Quite much.
And Kelly is a stinking hottie.
OH!
And did I tell you?
Ok, well.
See,
Kelly is standing in a field.
It's about 10 degrees outside, and the sun is setting.
And she's barefoot.
Because it's kind of wet.
And there are thorns and sticks and... THORNS on the ground.
I need to give her a fattened calf.
Or my finest china.
Or a foot-massage.
(She was such a trooper, the bravest ever, and so sweet about it all.)
And now they are off to a life of "together":
learning to love together,
learning to serve together,
learning about each other together.
